Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 3,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in the latest Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Express Entry draw held on July 8, 2025. This draw continues IRCC’s focus on in-Canada candidates under its category-based selection strategy.

What is the Canadian Experience Class?
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is an immigration stream under the Express Entry system, designed for skilled workers with Canadian work experience. CEC applicants typically score highly due to their local experience, strong language skills, and adaptability.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have at least one year (1,560 hours) of paid, skilled Canadian work experience within the past three years
- Work in a TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupation
- Meet minimum English or French language test scores
- Not be inadmissible to Canada
- Plan to live outside Québec

IRCC invited 3,000 CEC candidates with a minimum CRS score of 518. If more than one candidate had the lowest score, IRCC applied the tie-breaking rule. In this case, profiles submitted before October 2, 2024 at 01:48:36 UTC were prioritized.
