What is the Canadian Experience Class?
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a key pathway within the Express Entry system, designed for skilled workers with at least one year of Canadian work experience. CEC applicants tend to be competitive due to their familiarity with Canadian workplaces, language proficiency, and ability to adapt.
To qualify for CEC, applicants must:
- Have at least one year (1,560 hours) of paid, skilled Canadian work experience obtained within the last three years;
- Hold work experience in a TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupation;
- Meet the required English or French language test scores;
- Be admissible to Canada; and,
- Plan to reside outside of Québec.
